Two ways to edit, and the difference matters

Join mode keeps your clips exactly as you arranged them and only decides what plays over them. That is the classic montage described on this page: your order, your scene lengths, your choice of soundtrack.

The beat edits do the cutting for you, and both deliver vertical 1080×1920. Beat Cut shows every clip whole, in your order, and lands each change on the beat — one change per clip, and the reel is as long as your footage allows. The TikTok edit selects moments and cuts densely: dozens of changes in a 30-second reel, every one of them landing on a beat, so the pace is set by the track rather than by a fixed interval. It takes video clips, photographs, or a mix of both, and you set the length yourself, up to 3 minutes — it repeats and re-selects, so it is not limited by how much you uploaded.

Either beat edit will commission an instrumental written for your footage, or use a track you upload instead. Photographs are held still and change on the beat; Beat Cut takes video only, because its length is taken from the footage and a still supplies none.

Pricing

A joined montage starts at a 40-credit floor — that covers simple crossfade transitions with no AI music, at any scene count up to 20. AI cinematic morphs add 60 credits per transition (one per scene-pair). An AI-generated soundtrack adds 7.52 credits per second of finished video — a commissioned track is ordered more than once before one is delivered, and the price carries that. A simple silent montage costs 40 credits; an 8-scene montage with AI morphs and AI music runs about 930 credits.

The beat edits start at a 90-credit floor and buy no transitions at all — they cut, they do not blend. The commissioned instrumental is the bulk of the bill at the same 7.52 credits per second of finished reel, so it scales with the length rather than the clip count: on a 30-second TikTok edit the song alone is 226 credits and the whole job lands near 290, while bringing your own track leaves just the 90-credit floor. Upload more footage and the analysis surcharge moves the number a little, which is why the wizard states the exact price on the mode you picked before anything is charged.
